Product Description

Prometrium contains Progesterone - a yellow body hormone. It is used to resume menstrual cycles in women. It penetrates into the nucleus of the cell, binding to the surface of the cells of target organs with receptors, activates DNA and enhances the formation of RNA. Progesterone promotes the transition of the mucous membrane of the uterus to the secretory phase from proliferative, creates the conditions that are necessary for implantation of a fertilized egg, relaxes the muscles of the uterus (tocolytic effect) and reduces its sensitivity to oxytocin.

Method of application of Prometrium and dose

Progesterone is taken orally (regardless of food intake), but also can be used topically, intramuscularly, intravaginally…The choice of dosage form and dosage regimen depends on the indications. The duration of therapy is determined by the characteristics and nature of the disease. When treating progesterone, the concentration of attention is weakened, so you should be careful while driving and going for other dangerous activities that require the quickness of psychomotor reactions.

Contraindications for use:
